The Ecomuseum Zoo:
Discover local animals!
One and only outdoor zoo on the island of Montréal, the Ecomuseum Zoo offers visitors a unique and natural experience. An opportunity to share an intimate moment from the lives of numerous animal species exclusively from Québec.
All residents of the Ecomuseum Zoo are there for a special reason: orphaned, injured or born under professional human care, each of them could not return to the wild. Hence, they have found a loving home at the zoo.
During your visit to the Ecomuseum Zoo, be sure not to miss our majestic birds of prey: eagles, owls and falcons. You will also observe our impressive mammals: bears, wolves, river otters and caribou. Finally, do not leave without visiting the indoor exhibit, where you can view reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
The Ecomuseum Zoo is open 364 days per year. Visitors can therefore enjoy the charm of the 11 hectares site warmed by the rays of the summer sun or savor the magical beauty of the site when it is blanketed in its white winter coat.
A unique and responsable zoo
The Ecomuseum Zoo is proud to be a member of the Canadian Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA), an organization that advocates for the welfare of animals and promotes education, conservation and scientific research.
Visitors to the Ecomuseum Zoo support a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a better understanding and excellent management of our ecosystems by these three means.
