The dawn of this New Year just beginning marks as well the end of another that shone brightly. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to look back on the projects that made a huge difference for our animals, our employees, our donors, our volunteers and, most of all, for you, at each of your visits.
L2015 will end here at the Ecomuseum Zoo just as it started: full steam ahead without looking back, with heart, passion, intent and determined growth. Eye on a busy year by our Executive Director, David Rodrigue.
The Ecomuseum Zoo is proud to announce it is the recipient of the prestigious « Animal Enrichment Award » bestowed upon it by CAZA-AZAC (Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums) for its new Fisher habitat, inaugurated just a few months ago in July.
Every month, meet an employee of the zoo and discover who's hiding behind-the-scenes in our wonderful institution! This time, meet Jennifer Cyr-Devine, Zoologist-educator at the Ecomuseum Zoo since 7 years.
Did you know? Most of our agricultural activities take place in southern Québec where it is also possible to find most species of reptiles and amphibians. Although the greatest threat to these animals is the loss of habitat due to, among others, land use, agriculture is not necessarily only harmful.
