L2015 will end here at the Ecomuseum Zoo just as it started: full steam ahead without looking back, with heart, passion, intent and determined growth. Eye on a busy year by our Executive Director, David Rodrigue.
The Ecomuseum Zoo is proud to announce it is the recipient of the prestigious « Animal Enrichment Award » bestowed upon it by CAZA-AZAC (Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums) for its new Fisher habitat, inaugurated just a few months ago in July.
Every month, meet an employee of the zoo and discover who's hiding behind-the-scenes in our wonderful institution! This time, meet Jennifer Cyr-Devine, Zoologist-educator at the Ecomuseum Zoo since 7 years.
Did you know? Most of our agricultural activities take place in southern Québec where it is also possible to find most species of reptiles and amphibians. Although the greatest threat to these animals is the loss of habitat due to, among others, land use, agriculture is not necessarily only harmful.
The Ecomuseum Zoo is pleased to count on financial support from the Fondation Hydro-Québec pour l’environnement to the order of $40,860 for a conservation project aimed at protecting the habitats of the most urban of Québec’s reptiles: the Brown Snake.
